VOLUNTEERS MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE
Volunteering is a great way to be part of the community at Sacred Heart School. The Parents Club coordinates how parent volunteers may support the school throughout the year. Not only is volunteering a wonderful way to meet other parents, but you can make a real impact on our school and students. There are many ways for parents to get involved, such as programs, projects, fundraisers, sports, events, and open house tours. No matter how much time you have available and can commit, there is a job waiting for you. The Parents Club Board members and many new friends will help you do it.
FUNDRAISING
Each year, the Parents Club runs serval fundraisers, including Super Bowl and March Madness Boxes, Raffles at various fun events for the school, the Book Fair, and our Annual Spring Fling Event- to name a few. These fundraisers help to fund serval school educational, spiritual, and enrichment programs, teacher, and school wish lists, along with $30,000 in support of the school operating budget.

A Safe Environment Training appropriate to their position. Please contact the main office to learn more about these programs.
playground & lunch duty volunteers
The school always needs volunteers for playground and lunchroom duty daily from 11:10am through 12:10pm Monday through Friday. Please check your schedules and see if you can spare time to help. Our teachers appreciate this help so that they may take a break during their class lunchtime. To volunteer, please send a note with your child, email, or call the school office at 914-946-7142.
class parent
A great way to help your child’s class and teacher is to volunteer to be a Class Parent. General responsibilities include attending Parents Club meetings, coordinating parent involvement for Parents Club activities and events, accompanying classes on field trips (at teachers’ discretion), assisting in school fundraising activities, and organizing class parties in coordination with the teacher. All Class Parents must fulfill the “NY Archdiocese Safe Environment” program.
COMMITTEES & VOLUNTEERS
Now that you know a bit more about how beneficial it is to be a volunteer, to foster a close-knit community, please look at this year’s events for volunteer opportunities and ask us how you can get involved. Please also fill out the survey.
We look forward to working with you!
